Ona Trepat Rubirola

Artist, teacher and researcher in crafts and traditional art, her artistic work includes sculpture, installation, intervention, drawing, crafts and documentary art.

Lives and works in Catalonia. She has taken classes at different universities and is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of University of Barcelona, where she has also graduated. She regularly collaborates with institutions, communities and organizations, including in her work process a participatory space with the population of the territory to develop the work, or carrying out specific community art projects.

Postgraduate degree in Applied Arts – textile speciality – in Massana School of Arts in Barcelona and training at SAOG Studios (London) in traditional arts and geometry. She has also been taught in Group Facilitation by IIFAC-E, and in Art Therapy, Hauschka-Steiner method by Maya Moussa in Arteaaa.

My artistic research is an intimate path to try to give meaning to the fact of living, with the constant connection of what is apparently disconnected, remembering an interrelated vision between the self and the world.
